Merry (Early) Christmas!

Thanks to Mom and Dad, Garrett and I got to enjoy our Christmas present a little early this year. They got us an entertainment center that we have been wanting for a very long time! Garrett and I were considering buying it ourselves, and it would be our Christmas present to each other, but then Mom and Dad offered to get it for us for Christmas. We got it yesterday and spent about 5 or 6 hours total putting it together, and it looks great! We couldn't be happier. Thanks, Mom and Dad! (PS - I made the wreath, which is why it looks so... home made)

What's wrong with this picture?

Well, it's December 13 and, in the late afternoon, 77 degrees outside. Abby and I took cookies to Garrett and friends at the library on campus, then stopped at the park to swing for a while. That's right... no socks, and wearing short sleeves! What has the world come to? I was in long sleeves and felt pretty warm, myself. Should have changed into something cooler before we left. Anyway, it's supposed to cool down tomorrow, and then even more on Saturday. Finally, it may start to feel like winter (well, probably not. Maybe it will feel like September/October). In any case we'll see snow next week! Only 5 days until Utah!

Pigtails!

I have been waiting for this day to come! I LOVE it when little girls have pigtails, and finally Abby's hair is just long enough for me to make little ones on the top of her head. There is a famous picture in our family of Molly, Emma and me (or is it myself?) sitting on the couch (1990?) and all of us have pigtails in our hair... it's adorable. If I had a scanner I'd post that picture here, but I guess that will have to wait until after Christmas, when I get my scanner (right, G? I mean, come on... it's for family history purposes!). Anyway, maybe now people will stop thinking she's a boy, even when she's in pink. Since this new hairstyle, she has gotten tons of compliments everywhere we go. I guess it's a keeper! The last picture is what she looks like when we take the pigtails out.

Interesting...

Another benefit to fasting.

Thanksgiving Break

We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent the week in Savannah with Garrett's family, and everyone was in town, including some of Garrett's grandparents from Arizona. It was a full house but lots of fun. We ate great food, watched movies, got our hair done (thanks to Katie, who's going to Dallas Roberts... I see a future of free haircare!), went to River Street, went shopping, and just relaxed.
