When the lights are out....

A few weeks ago, Abby got a hold of my camera before bedtime.  She must have hidden it in her room until after I tucked them into bed and turned out the lights.  Today as I was unloading pictures from my camera, I got a good idea of what happens while they are playing in their rooms each night after bedtime (it's fine with me if they play for a while as long as the lights stay out and they are quiet.  In fact, sometimes I love it when they play - I can't get enough of the giggling and singing).

Here are the pictures in sequential order:

First, the obligatory head shot:

Ellie has climbed into Abby's bed:
 Ellie lays down:

Ellie poses for a picture with her Mei Mei:

Abby's toes:

Ellie tries to read but discovers it's too hard in the dark.  She puts her head down to the ground and possibly starts to fall asleep (we often find her like this when we check on them before we go to bed):

But, false alarm!  Ellie is still awake, since she is now on Abby's bed, posing for a picture pretending to sleep.

Another pose:

I'm guessing that Abby wanted a picture of them both sleeping, but Ellie didn't cooperate:

Finally, Ellie has made her way to her bed and falls asleep:

Abby gets close enough to make sure:

Funny girls.... I wish they would stop growing up!

That is so funny and cute!! I hope Maddie does the picture thing too when she gets a little older. What a great look into her world. :)

I love how you got a sneak peek into what they are up to at night.

The toes picture made me laugh for some reason.

They are both really, really beautiful little girls.
